Using PetApp

Use an account you control and keep its sign-in details secure. Represent a business or manage a pet only when you have permission. Do not impersonate another person, business or organization.

Follow the Community Guidelines and applicable law. Do not use PetApp to exploit people or animals, deceive others, distribute prohibited content or bypass another person’s privacy and blocking choices.

Your content and sharing choices

You retain ownership of the content you contribute. You give PetApp permission to store, process, display and deliver that content to provide the features and sharing choices you use, and to review safety reports.

Only upload content you have permission to use. Check its audience before sharing. Shared pet and business records belong to their represented context; changing a membership or closing a personal account does not by itself erase records that other authorized members still use.

Community safety

The Community Guidelines form part of these terms. PetApp may review, limit, hide or remove prohibited content and restrict accounts that violate these rules. Reports are confidential; reporting does not give another user access to the reporter’s identity.

With your permission, PetApp sends the public posts, captions, comments and attached media you submit or edit to OpenRouter and Google’s Gemini AI service for safety checks before publication. This includes visible text and any video sound. Unclear or flagged content can be reviewed by an authorized person. These checks do not scan private messages.

Use the in-app Report action for a specific account, post, comment, listing, Activity or message. You can contact support@petapp.ca about a decision or an appeal. Include the relevant reference or link, but do not send passwords or copies of illegal content.

Activities, listings and pet-care information

Members and businesses are responsible for their own listings, Activities and interactions. Verify arrangements and relevant qualifications directly. Information shared by members is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice.

External links open services with their own terms and privacy practices. PetApp does not guarantee a seller’s claims, an Activity’s suitability or information contributed by another member.

Changes and contact

When a change requires renewed acceptance, PetApp will show the updated terms before you continue creating or uploading content. Your rights under applicable consumer and privacy law are not waived by these terms.
