Forms and email

When you join an email list, we collect your email address and the optional name, pet information, business details, feedback or questions you choose to provide. We keep the signup source, submitted answers and consent record so we can manage your request and send the updates or invitations you agreed to receive.

Our contact form collects your name, email, optional phone number, inquiry type, subject and message. We use this information to handle your inquiry, confirm receipt and respond. A contact inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

PetApp uses Amazon Simple Email Service to deliver email. Email services may process delivery, bounce, complaint, open and link-click information to operate messages, understand their usefulness and protect sending quality. We stop marketing messages to addresses that unsubscribe, bounce permanently or complain.

Founding Pet photographs and QR pages

At some in-person PetApp meetings, an authorized team member may offer a personalized Founding Pet card. The team member asks the owner for verbal permission before photographing their pet and publishing the pet’s photo and name on the card-linked page.

The card page is public to anyone who has its QR code or link. Its address is difficult to guess, but that is not access control. We do not display the owner’s contact details or the team’s private notes on the public page.

We resize photos into web-ready versions and remove embedded metadata during processing, including location metadata when present. The raw photo is not retained. We also keep card publication and consent details, scan counts and visit timestamps to operate the card experience.

Photo permission and email permission are separate. Receiving a card does not subscribe its owner to email. If you choose to sign up through your card, we link that signup to the card and show its completed state on later visits.

Storage, access and service providers

Website records are stored in our server database. Processed pet images use persistent server storage or Cloudflare R2. Hosting, storage and email providers process information to provide these services; processing can take place outside your country.

The capture tool and submission inboxes are restricted to authorized PetApp team members. We use your information to operate these experiences, respond to requests and address abuse. We do not sell signup information, add people to unrelated lists or use website form submissions to train public AI models.

We keep records while needed for the requested service, subscription, support, consent records and applicable obligations. Unsubscribing stops marketing messages; it does not automatically remove a pet’s public card page. You can request removal separately.

Website operation and cookies

Our server processes technical request information, including network addresses, to deliver pages, maintain security and help prevent abusive submissions. The private capture tool uses a session cookie for authenticated access. The public pages do not require an account or advertising cookies.

This website does not load advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. Email measurement is separate, as described above. Links to other services lead to their own terms and privacy practices.

Your choices and requests

You can unsubscribe using the link in an email. To correct your information, ask about access or request removal of a Founding Pet page, email privacy@petapp.ca. Include the relevant email address, card number or page link; do not send passwords or sensitive identity documents in ordinary email.

We may need to confirm your connection to the information before acting. Tell us if you have a concern about how a request was handled so we can review it. If we change these practices, we will update this notice and its date.
